Body Bro

Body Bro / Privacy

Your data
Your choice

Updated October 26, 2026 · applies to Body Bro for iPhone and Apple Watch, and this website.

Your program and results stay on your device. A regular workout needs neither a Body Bro account nor internet access. AI, file exchange, Apple Health and support are enabled separately.

Who is responsible for the app

Body Bro is developed by Pavel Pavlenko. For data questions or requests to delete support correspondence, email: support@makeitbeta.ru.

Local storage

Body Bro stores your profile, programs, drafts, conversations and results on your device. The developer has no server holding your workouts. The app has no advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs or advertising tracking. System backups follow your iPhone and Apple settings.

If you connect AI

After you finish entering a key or open a connection with a saved key, the app may read your DeepSeek balance or OpenRouter key limit. The request goes directly to the selected service over HTTPS, without messages or your training profile. These details stay in the screen’s memory: the app does not add them to history, exports or iCloud, or share them with the developer. You can refresh them with a button.

You choose the provider and enter your own API key. Messages and training context needed for a reply go directly to that provider over HTTPS. Context may include profile details you enter (name, age, sex, height and weight), goals and limitations, your program and workout results. Requests use your provider account’s authorization and may be associated with it. Your date of birth is replaced with your age. Heart rate and other Apple Health records are excluded from AI context.

When you send a message, the provider also receives the section and screen from which you opened chat and a brief app state: whether a workout is active, which device leads it, the current day, phase, exercise, set number and remaining rest, and whether you have a profile, accepted program and draft. On the agent’s request, details of the active workout are shared, including recorded sets and weights. Opening chat alone sends no request. Reading context does not change the workout.

Free-form text is sent as written. Do not include information you do not want to share with the selected service. Request retention, association with your account, data use and costs depend on the provider’s terms. Body Bro cannot delete requests already sent to a provider; contact that provider to do so.

Importing from another app (Settings → Import from another app, or the paperclip in chat) reads the chosen file on iPhone. First, small samples of the selected sheets or text are sent to your chosen AI provider to check whether they contain workouts or a programme. Then the selected content may be sent in parts for reading, together with the exercise catalogue list; in files with multiple sheets, sheets that don't look like a workout log or plan, such as nutrition, are not selected by default. The file itself is not kept: the imported workouts, your own exercises and a programme you accept remain. Intermediate results are temporarily stored on iPhone so you can continue the import. A Body Bro backup or programme is recognised on iPhone and is not sent to AI.

Keys and secret headers are stored in the device’s Keychain for a specific address. They are excluded from Body Bro exports and are not synced by the app through iCloud. Changing the connection address requires entering the key again. Automatic workout review is off by default and enabled separately. Accepting a new plan always requires your confirmation.

Dictation

The microphone is enabled with your permission. Apple’s on-device speech recognition runs on iPhone; the app does not save audio or send it to the AI provider. Text appears in the input field first, where you can edit it before sending. The first language download requires internet access. iOS manages system keyboard dictation.

Apple Watch and Apple Health

In History → Analytics, you can separately allow Body Bro to read weight and BMI from Apple Health. Measurements, dates and sources are used for local charts. They are not copied into Body Bro files or sent to AI, iCloud, Personal OS or your watch. Declining does not prevent workouts.

Manual weight and BMI measurements are stored separately on your device. Sharing this log with your coach requires a separate switch for the current AI connection address. This permission does not apply to Apple Health. The log is excluded from exports and exchange with Personal OS; Delete all data removes manual measurements and analytics settings.

The Watch companion requests permission to read heart rate and save workouts. This data is used for your workout and saved in Apple Health and the companion’s service state. It is not used for advertising or shared with the AI provider. You can revoke permissions in Apple Health settings.

iCloud and Personal OS exchange

Exchange is optional. When enabled, your program, results, source drafts and reviews are written to your selected folder. Profile export is enabled separately. Files are available to owners and participants you give access to the folder. In Personal OS mode, your Mac processes the data; the app developer does not receive it.

Alarms and notifications

Rest alerts and notifications work with your permission. A phone review is saved locally before its notification appears. In Personal OS mode, an APNs token is written to your selected folder for your Mac. The notification contains a reference to the review, without its text or workout results.

Diagnostics and TestFlight

Local diagnostics retain information about the latest 20 chat runs and 20 reviews: stages, timing, request counts and usage reported by the provider. They contain no conversation text, tool arguments or API keys. The app does not automatically send these diagnostics to the developer.

When you install through TestFlight, Apple processes testing and crash information under its own policies. Feedback and screenshots you send through TestFlight are available to the developer. Learn more: Apple TestFlight privacy information.

Backup

In Settings → Backup, you can save a file containing your profile, program library and drafts, every workout revision, legacy history, manual measurements, conversations, settings and AI spending history. Analytics are calculated from restored history. You can transfer the file between Body Bro Dev and the main Body Bro app if both versions support the backup format.

The file is not encrypted and contains personal information, including health information from your profile, measurements and conversations. You choose where to save it; nothing is sent to the developer. You manage access to the file in cloud storage or other apps separately. Secrets you paste into chat may remain in its text.

Keychain keys, the AI connection, iCloud folder binding, system permissions and Apple Health data are excluded. After restoration, AI and exchange must be connected again, automatic review is off, and permission to share manual measurements with AI is reset. Restoration requires confirmation and replaces your current Body Bro data; external copies and existing Apple Health records are preserved. A service marker without personal data prevents old history from returning from Apple Watch.

Support and external services

When you email support, the developer receives your address, message and files you choose to attach to answer your request and resolve the issue. Correspondence is retained for as long as needed to handle the request; you can request deletion at the same address.

In Settings → Export for developer, you can create a ZIP containing all saved conversations and tool calls, your profile, drafts and programs, versions and local diagnostics. It may contain personal health information. Unsent text in the input field is excluded. Separate result files and the active workout are added only with a switch that is off by default. Apple Health records and the manual log are not exported separately; information already in chat, including results and measurements, remains in the conversation.

Connection keys, secret headers, balance, the iCloud folder address and the provider’s service responses used to continue requests are excluded. Secrets you paste into a message may remain: check the contents before sharing. Creating an archive sends nothing. You choose email, saving or another method in the system share sheet. Send private support archives to support@makeitbeta.ru.

A separate “Use for AI quality testing” permission, off by default, lets the developer retain an example to compare programs and improve the coach. Without permission, your request does not become an example. This is response evaluation, not model training. Approved examples may be sent to AI providers selected by the developer for quality checks. They are retained for as long as needed for this work. You can withdraw permission and request deletion of the received archive and its examples at the same email address. You manage your own copies and data held by your chosen service separately.

Contact developer in the app opens an invitation to a shared Telegram group chat. No data is sent automatically. Messages and screenshots you post are visible to members and processed by Telegram. Use email for private requests. Exercise lessons open on YouTube, where the service’s own policies apply.

This website

This website uses Yandex Metrica (tag 113809281) to measure visits, traffic sources, page views and link clicks. Yandex receives browser and device details, the page address and title, the referral source and your IP address. The service may use cookies and localStorage to distinguish visitors. Session replay and form recording are disabled. Your programs, profile, conversations and workout results from the app are not sent to this tag.

Statistics are processed under Yandex’s privacy policy. You can restrict the tag through browser settings or the Yandex Metrica opt-out extension. This website has no data collection forms or advertising placements. Hosting processes your IP address and technical request details to deliver pages and protect the service. External websites apply their own policies when you visit them.

Managing and deleting data

Deleting the app removes its local container. Exported files, system backups, Apple Health records, Keychain keys and data held by your selected AI provider are managed separately. Use each service’s settings for those.

Policy changes

If data handling changes, we will update this page and the date above. Significant new ways of sharing data must also be reflected in the app interface.
